This is my grandmother, Sally Nye in about 1922 or 23. Around this time she left Kearney, Nebraska for the wilds of Los Angeles and the University of Southern California. There she would gain the reputation as a flapper, if the press clippings from her hometown are any indication. I can best date this by her skirt length, since she was always careful to be in fashion.
