We have an obsession with red prom dresses from the 1980's lately. With Valentine's Day ahead, they seem the perfect idea for a romantic quiet dinner or a big bash. What we have noticed is that dresses back then were FUN! Whether you love a cute and flirty dress with a sexy fitted corset style body, or a flippy mini that has a sweet heart necklinle, prom and cocktail dresses were made to flatter, whatever your size or shape.
The set of dresses shown here are wonderful for their complex designs: wrapped, shirred and ruffled, these dresses were made by masterful pattern makers. All are unworn, coming to us recently from an amazing fashion designer's archive of 1980's dresses. Some even have the original hangtage (with prices that exceed $100).
